The Portal Hall has a history dating back to 1889 when it
was agreed to build a memorial to the late Canon Portal.
The Parish room, as it was known then, was completed
in October 1890 on land
donated by the Earl of Carnarvon.

The Portal Hall has seen many activities during it's centenary,
including, billiards, reading and a skittle alley and
numerous clubs. Today the hall is used by
brownies, the WI, Sunshine club, and as a keep fit venue.
The annual Harvest Supper, weddings, birthday parties and
many other private functions take place here.

The hall is bright and spacious and can comfortably
seat 140 people for a sit down meal,
or 100 if a dance area is required.
It is the ideal venue to host any social
event, such as a birthday party or wedding reception.
The warm ambience and facilities of the hall will ensure
the success of your event.
